Crostini - Antipasti

Crostini gain their name from “crostare”: baked crispy. Rather small slices of bread are used for this, often from the previous day. Ideal as antipasto or as a snack.

Main ingredients:
8 slices of baguette or Italian white bread,
cloves of garlic,
olive oil,
tomato paste,
coarsely chopped capers,
ground black pepper
Toast the bread slices either in a pan or a toaster. Rub with garlic and drip some olive oil on them. Then spread with tomato paste and garnish with capers. Sprinkle with freshly ground pepper and serve.
