In summer it is much less humid in Piani than at the coast and at the beach.

There is a small grocery store, which is directly on the road towards Dolcedo. Besides, since recent times the village has been having a small attractive kart track on the outskirts of the village. There is a small restaurant in the middle of olive trees offering a daily variety of wonderful recipes, which include Antipasti, Primos, Secundos and main courses. Many dishes are prepared using local products from the country. You can also drink an excellent cappuccino from the sunny terrace in front of the restaurant, thereby enjoying your holiday to the full.

In the centre of Piani stands the “Santuario di Nostra Signora” church from the 14th century. The Ascension of the Virgin Mary is celebrated on the 15th of August. 

Piani is part of the municipality of Imperia. The small village lies on the outskirts of the old town of Porto Maurizio. The small village was already inhabited in early Middle Ages.

Piani belongs to the municipality of Imperia and is a village in Imperia province which lies in the Liguria region. When coming from Genua/Nizza, turn off from the highway in Imperia Ovest. After that, turn right towards Piani/Dolcedo and follow the road up to the roundabout. From there take the third exit towards Piani and cross the bridge. You are now in Piani.
