Description
Above the small holiday town surrounded by a pine forest is the solitary holiday house of Casa Marea. The modern, brightly furnished house offers ample room for four persons, with its bedroom, bathroom, and large living room / kitchen with a pull out sofa. The generous, partly covered terrace, with its fantastic view over the bay of Diano Marina and the sea is irresistibly inviting to those seeking an evening of relaxation or a small social gathering. Diano Marina, with its many beaches and year-round events and festivals, is only fifteen minutes away. The closest shops are just ten minutes away in the historical Diano Castello. Casa Campana is just perfect for tours through the San Pietro valley, with its many lush olive groves, as well as through the remote Ligurian countryside, and all the way through to the Alpine foothills, either by car, bike, or on foot.

The Diano valley area was inhabited by the Ligurian Ingauni tribe, who were stockbreeders and farmers. In Roman times, the woodland was sacred to the goddess Diana and there was probably a temple dedicated to her. In 1772, the valley towns, including Arentino, were amalgamated to form the "Comunitas Diani", which had its own civic statutes and was independent from the Diano manorial administration. Diano Arentino did not actually become a municipality until 1924.
Seen from above, it has the appearance of a number of built-up areas separated by a strip of land on which olive trees are cultivated and which marks the border between the municipal districts. The parish church of Santa Margherita preserves a painting of the Madonna del Rosario. Another picture shows Sant' Antonino and Santa Margherita.
The municipal territory is known for its production of superior-quality olive oil and is composed of two districts: Borrello and Evigno. The district of Diano Borrello was probably founded by the Benedictines, as is suggested by the choice of San Michele Arcangelo as patron saint. The Romanesque church dedicated to the saint preserves a fine sixteenth-century poliptych by Brea.
The town of Evigno lies at the foot of Monte Scortegabecco, which is an attraction for tourists who come to admire the ancient church of San Martino, also probably founded by the Benedictines. The green ridge of Pizzo d'Evigno has been pasture land since time immemorial, as can be seen from the numerous "caselle" (rustic dry-stone buildings), the earliest dwellings of the Ingauni. A further sign of early settlement in the Pizzo d'Evigno area are the three "neviere": man-made cavities surrounded by dry-stone walls that were once used for catchment and storage of snow and ice.

Beleuchtung auf der Terrasse haben wir nicht gefunden, das könnte man vielleicht irgendwie erklären der Markt in Bordighera am Strand ist wunderschön wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt

keine bezüglich Ausstattung war alles vorhanden wir waren sehr positiv überrascht wie vorher keine ! Wegen Hund wäre ein wenig Gras nicht schlecht Im Bad neben der Dusche rechts am Rand steht immer ein klein wenig Wasser (Dusche undicht / WC undicht ?)Fenster im Schlafzimmer läßt sich nicht richtig schließen. Fliegenschutz an Türe hintere Terrasse und in zwei Räumen sehr schwergängig oder ein klein wenig defekt. Ansonsten gibt es nix zu meckern... für uns (leider nicht für unseren Hund) war es total entspannend und schön !!

Es war alles vorhanden, was notwendig war (Liegestühle, Grill, Dusche im Garten), einfach optimal. Olivenmühle (das Olivenöl ist erstklassig), Weingut (der Wein schmeckt auch hervorragend), die herrlichen Strände, Imperia, Dolcedo, Diano Marina, die zahlreichen Restaurants und Cafés (die Namen habe ich mir leider nicht gemerkt), und nicht zu vergessen, die herrlichen Wanderwege mit atemberaubender Kulisse. Und natürlich das Walwatching (haben wir leider nicht mehr geschafft, wollen wir aber unbedingt beim nächsten Mal nachholen). Wir können eigentlich nur mitteilen, das wir rundherum sehr zufrieden waren und uns gut erholt haben und dass wir unbedingt wiederkommen möchten. Vielen Dank für den schönen Urlaub!

Da ich sehr gerne koche wären einige küchenutensilien noch von nöten. und ein steakmesser ist wenig für 4. pool.pool.pool!!!!!!!!! Für den geniesser gibts an jeder ecke etwas und ein bischen italienisch hilft jedem weiter.

es ist perfekt wie es ist!! Die Osteria in Diano Castello ist klasse, eine nette Atmosphäre, gutes Essen und man sitzt einfach toll dort. Die Kinderspielplätze in Imperia und Diano Marina sidn supertoll, unser Sohn (2,5 Jahre alt) war begeistert und wir auch!!! vielen Dank für die schöne Woche. Wir wollten eigentlich nicht wegfahren und waren dann froh es doch getan zu haben. Es war einfach nur ein gelungener Urlaub.

Für Gäste mit Hund: Hundestrand in Laigueglia ist sehr zu empfehlen. Ausflug ins Hinterland, die Berge um Mendatica, Upega und Montegrosso sollte man gemacht haben.

Bei der Terasse müßten die Fliesen erneuert werden, da dort mehrere locker sind. Unfallgefahr! Die Grotte von Toirano sind sehr schön. Bei dem Parkplatz vor dem Haus sollte genau angegeben werden, welcher zu dem Haus gehört. Ich hatte bei dem mittleren Parkplatz einen Zettel von dem Anwohner von Haus Nr. 29 an meinem Auto.

Besuch der Dörfer im Valle Diano z.B. Evigno und Diano Borello, sowie deren Restaurantes. Sehr sehenswert Diano Castello. Ebenso zu empfehlen, falls Gäste mit Hund, Hundestrand in Laigueglia.

Planter un bougainvillier... c'est tellement beau! Aller à la fête de Diano Castello, escargots et fritto pesca délicieux! Visiter les villages de Dolceacqua, Apricale, Barjedo, Cervo. Bennet, hypermarché très complet à Imperia pour les grosses courses!! Visiter Gênes!!

zum Essengehen mit Hund sind das Waterwheal u. das Casa Capmpagna empfehlenswert. Als Ausflug, wenn`s mal nicht Meer sein soll, kann Zuccarello und weiter Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena empfohlen werden. Grüsse bis zum nächsten Urlaub
