The little house of La Rosetta lies in the mountain village of Lingueglietta, which is accessible through San Lorenzo al Mare. There are many fine sandy beaches and excellent restaurants in San Lorenzo where you can enjoy tempting Ligurian dishes. You can reach the house from the upper part of the local Piazza, through the typical Italian alleyways. The living quarters are conveniently spread over one floor and comprise a double bedroom, a kitchen, a living room with dining area and daybed, a bathroom with shower and a washing machine, as well as a beautiful terrace with a splendid view over the sea and the lush olive groves at your disposal. The second, lovingly restored living area with a fold-out sofa bed for one person and a small area for relaxation, is located in the former cantina, which additionally features a second double bedroom and a guest WC. End the day in absolute tranquillity while admiring the sun setting over the sea and savouring a good wine on the terrace.

La Rosetta is appr. 250 m situated in the center of the village, reachable only by feet. There is a shuttle bus service \"Marebus\" to the beaches of San Lorenzo and Santo Stefano al Mare in the summer months July and August. There are two wood-stoves to heat.

Cipressa lies on the outskirts of the Rio San Lorenzo Valley, at the foot of the spurs that run from Monte Faudo (1149 m.) down towards the sea along a wide coastal band whose terracings are famed for flower and olive cultivation. According to legend, the name of the town derives from the flight of three shepherds from Cyprus who landed on the beach of "Aregai" (meaning "the drowned"). Destroyed by the Frassineto pirates and later by the Saracens, in the sixteenth century the town built the Gallinara watchtower on a rock that gives a clear view over a wide stretch of coast as far as France. Cipressa was always the object of contention between the local lords and the Benedictines of Villaregia, who dominated the territory for a long time.

The seventeenth-century church of the Visitazione holds a fine crucifix by Van Hike and a wooden Visitation attributed to the Maragliano school, as is the statue of the Nunziata held in the Oratorio dell'Annunciazione, built in the eighteenth century by Filippo Marvaldi. An alternative to these cultural visits is a trip along the mule trails on Monte Faudo; these are also ideal for mountain biking, although they are a particular favourite with motocross lovers, as can be seen from the deep tracks in the path.

The municipal district of Lingueglietta is a mediaeval town that has remained intact and preserved all the charms of the past: visitors can discover the signs of everyday life in bygone days, such as the ancient units of measure that are still marked below the central portico. Well worth visiting are the church of Maria Vergine and the annexed Oratorio dell'Annunciazione: the various styles of successive restoration work since it was first founded in the fourteenth century make this a composite building with a wealth of fascinating details. No less fascinating is the church of San Pietro, a rare example of a Ligurian "church-fortress", which is a mixture of late mediaeval religious architecture and sixteenth-century military design.

Lingueglietta is a small mountain village above San Lorenzo al Mare and only a few kilometers from the sea.



Lingueglietta belongs to the municipality of Cipressa. It has a good restaurant with a regional cuisine, an Alimentari and a comfortable bar for evening time, apart from the beautifully restored and winding lanes.



The Sculpture park "Tra i mondi" of the German artist Carin Grudda is particularly worth seeing (opening hours: July – end of October Thur/Sun 3.00 p.m. - 8.00 p.m. or after an appointment on Tel. No. 3472288928).

Vielleicht ein zweites, gutes Messer in der Küche - das wäre hilfreich aber keineswegs ein Grund, ohne das zweite Messer die Wohnung nicht mehr zu buchen. Die Pizzeria inkl. Lebensmittelladen \\\"La Fortezza\\\" können wir wirklich empfehlen. Wir haben einsame Buchten bzw. kleine Strände zwischen San Lorenzo und San Stefano bevorzugt (der Hauptstrand von Imperia ist nicht zu empfehlen, viel zu voll...) Wir wurden noch nie so freundlich empfangen wie hier: Es gab frische Blumen, Willkommensgeschenke und auch an Lebensmitteln und anderen nützlichen Dingen war wirklich alles da (das haben wir schon ganz anders erlebt...). Vielen Dank für alles, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Ich fand die Ausstattung ausreichend und gut, ich habe nichts vermisst. Die Terrasse hat einen wunderbaren Ausblick. Sie ist mit ausreichenden Stühlen einem grossen Tisch, Markise und Sonnenschirm bestückt. Ebenfalls sind Pflanzkübel mit blühenden Sommerblumen bepflanzt, was will man also mehr? Meiner Meinung nach fehlt wirklich nichts. Die Orte Lingueglietta, Cipressa und Costarainera sind per pedes oder mit dem Bike eine Reise wert. Die engen kleinen, verwinkelten Gässchen haben einen gewissen Flair. Auch die Küstenorte San Lorenzo und San Stefano al Mare sind sehr beschaulich und gemütlich. Porto Maurizio, Diano Marina und das Chiappa-Tal im Hinterland einfach wunderschön. Ich möchte mich für die reibungslose, problemlose und flexibe Abwicklung bedanken. Ich hatte sehr kurzfristig gebucht und doch hat dank der Organisation Ihrer Mitarbeiter alles wunderbar geklappt. Merci

Schöne, individuelle Einrichtung. Einfach zum Wohlfühlen mit Familie! Balkon, der Schwindelfreiheit verlangt mit traumhaftem Ausblick und Morgensonne zum Frühstücken. In Civezza das Cinque Torri ist als Restaurant empfehlenswert, sowie die zwei Ristoranti in Linguelietta selbst. Ebenso gibt es ein Alimentari im Ort um sich am Morgen mit Semmel zu versorgen. Der Strand bei Riva Ligure ist sehr schön, sowie im Hinterland die abenteuerliche Fahrt zum Monte Ceppu und dessen Besteigung. Diano Marina ist empfehlenswert zum Stadtbummel und Souvenirshopping, aber nicht zum unbezahlten Baden! Es gibt noch mehr Tipps, die wir aber in unserer Reisebeschreibung einfügen werden.
