Description
Casetta Piani lies in the district of the same name, Piani, which belongs to the popular coastal resort of Imperia. Due to the good location you can be at the sea or in Liguria’s mountains within a few minutes by car. The vacation apartment is located in the ground floor of a multiple family housing block and offers sufficient room for 4 people. It has a bedroom with a double bed, a big kitchen-cum-living-room with a sleeping sofa and a bathroom with a shower. You can relax and recover from the day’s stress in the garden, which also has a small terrace area. There is a small grocery store on the upper floor of the house, so that you can always have fresh rolls for breakfast within the shortest time.

Imperia is the fourth largest town in Liguria. It became a municipality in 1923 as a consequence of the union of Oneglia and Porto Maurizio, two towns on the Western Riviera divided by the mouth of the River Impero. The two nuclei remain distinct despite the administrative merger and extensive property development. Porto Maurizio was an ally of Genoa from the thirteenth century onwards, while Oneglia, the natural sea outlet of the Impero Valley, was allied with the House of Savoy from 1576. Oneglia's origins as a town date back to mediaeval times. Worth visiting are Palazzo Doria (now completely transformed), which was the birthplace of Andrea Doria, and the church of San Giovanni Battista. Porto Maurizio, which stands on a promontory, began to develop after 1000 AD: the oldest district is called Parasio. The cathedral and the historic buildings are well worth visiting.

In the center of Piani, there is a beautiful church. There is also a small grocery shop that is located directly on the road to Dolcedo.
Now, Piani will also delight the more adventurous with a little karting track located in the outskirts.
Piani is an ideal starting point if you want to stay in a quiet yet convenient place where you will find everything you need.
