Description
Casa Fiora is located on the edge of the quiet hamlet of Poggi and is only a few minutes by car from the sea. The residence can easily sleep five people; it comprises two bedrooms, one bathroom and a comfortable living/dining room with a fireplace. The terrace offers you a fantastic view. Poggi, although only a small town, does have a little alimentari (grocery store) where basic necessities and fresh bread can readily be purchased.

Imperia is the fourth largest town in Liguria. It became a municipality in 1923 as a consequence of the union of Oneglia and Porto Maurizio, two towns on the Western Riviera divided by the mouth of the River Impero. The two nuclei remain distinct despite the administrative merger and extensive property development. Porto Maurizio was an ally of Genoa from the thirteenth century onwards, while Oneglia, the natural sea outlet of the Impero Valley, was allied with the House of Savoy from 1576. Oneglia's origins as a town date back to mediaeval times. Worth visiting are Palazzo Doria (now completely transformed), which was the birthplace of Andrea Doria, and the church of San Giovanni Battista. Porto Maurizio, which stands on a promontory, began to develop after 1000 AD: the oldest district is called Parasio. The cathedral and the historic buildings are well worth visiting.

We did not miss anything. I would just inform visitors what to do if the gas bomb is empty and how to recognize it.. The graden and balcony were perfect. greatly appreciated by our baby. One should visit Bussana Vecchia, San Remo was also lovely. We were all together very happy with the service and hope to use it again maybe next year:-)

Eigentlich waren wir mit den "Außenanlagen" sehr zufrieden. Liegenstühle werden immer gern gesehen. Civezza ist absolut traumhaft, egal ob tagsüber oder nachts. Dieses Ziel lohnt sich immer! Zum Essen gehen wir am liebsten nach Dolcedo und zum Baden nach Porto Maurizio. Wir waren jetzt zum dritten Mal in Liguren und werden diesen Sommer nicht das letzte Mal dagewesen sein! Die Freude darauf ist schon sehr groß!

Neue Matratzen Die Seidendecken sind gut Morgens gab es an der Spüle in der Küche kleine Ameisen in größerer Zahl. Es war nicht ganz klar, wo sie herkommen.

Ausstattung grundsätzlich sehr gut (Spülmaschine, Staubsauger und sogar Klimaanlage vorhanden), wenn es vielleich noch ein paar Wandregale als Ablagefläche gäbe, wär's perfekt. Als Badestrand ist Diano Marina zu empfehlen (Sandstrand!), Monaco ist einen Tag wert, und die Gärten von Hanbury sind ein MUSS. Ölmuseum in Imperia, Fa. Carli (Via Garessio), dort super Rotweinessig. Olivenöl haben wir in Villa Faraldi bei der Frantoio der Familie Martini Bartolomeo gekauft, sehr "sanfter" Geschmack. Einkaufen im Supermarkt Simply direkt am Ortsrand Imperia kurz vor Abzweigung nach Poggy. Kleines Restaurant am Strand/Hafen von Imperia (Sogni D'Estate) prima geeignet für Mittagsimbiss (Focaccie, Pizze), unser Lieblingsabendessen in Diano Marina, Restaurant Pizza e Pasta direkt am Ortseingang rechts an der Strandstraße (aus Richtung Imperia). Schade, dass unser Urlaub schon wieder vorbei ist, aber dafür können Sie nichts ;-)

Mentone und San Remo sind eine Reise wert, ebenso Monte Carlo; in San Lorenzo ist ein kleiner, aber sehr schöner Strand.

An der schmalen Strasse vom Dorfzentrum Poggi zur Fewo kommt man an einem Verkaufsstand der Azienda agricola F.lli Barbero vorbei. Dort gibt es leckeren Rotwein zu einem günstigen Preis. Der freie Strand in San Lorenzo war schön klein u. nett angelegt, haben uns dort wohl gefühlt.
