The Casettina Della Musica lies in the dreamy mountain village of Gazelli, only few kilometers from Imperia. The Casettina is a very well furnished apartment and offers ample room for four people. It comprises a double bedroom, a bedroom with two single beds, a comfortable living room, kitchen and a bath with shower. It also has a beautiful balcony on which you can enjoy the setting sun while you relax over a glass of wine. The beautifully designed of the furniture gives the Casettina Della Musica a quite special and distinctive atmosphere.

The ancient town of Chiusanico lies on a ridge, where oak and chestnut woods alternate with hills covered with olive groves. According to a tradition that is corroborated by some researchers, this was the birthplace of Christopher Columbus, although there is no general agreement among historians.


During mediaeval times, Chiusanico was the main centre in the Monte Arosio territory, which was dominated by the Clavesana family.Some portals and buildings at Castello date back to the thirteenth century, such as the single-nave church of San Lorenzo. The church of Santo Stefano dates from later times and still has some splendid eighteenth-century polychrome marble work; it was rebuilt in neo-classical style by the architect Gaetano Cantoni. Inside the church, you can admire a painting of Santo Stefano by Giulio De Rossi (1579).


The masterpiece of Chiusanico, however, is to be found in the parish church of Gazzelli: this is a priceless painting attributed to Domenico Piola showing the Virgin Mary visiting Elisabeth (early seventeenth century).


Torria also offers some works of art that are well worth seeing: the drinking-trough beneath a sixteenth-century loggia, a bas-relief dated 1477 in the parish church of San Martino, the oratory of the Disciplinati della Santissima Annunziata and the sanctuary of the Madonna della Neve. This district is the venue for a biennial photography competition; the sports complex is equipped for fencing competitions. You can take the path leading from an ancient stone wash-house in Torria and make your way up to the sanctuary of the Madonna della Neve and, passing through the woods, continue on to the San Giacomo pass and Monte Arosio. The industrial and commercial municipality of Chiusanico is well known for its superior quality olive oil and its classic Pigato and Vermentino wines.

Picturesque mountain town nestled in between vineyards and olive groves. In Gazzelli is a wonderful "Visitation", who was painted by Domenico Piola. She was originally painted for the pilgrimage church Madonna degli Angeli, which lies somewhat isolated south of the town, but is now to be seen in the church San Andrea.

alles ok. der Hafen von Oneglia ist wirklich schön am Abend. Es ist nicht ok, dass Oneglia in Reiseführern oft so schlecht weg kommt.

Alles war benutzbar und i.O. Besser geht immer, aber die Situation vor Ort passt zum Objekt und zum Haus und der Umgebung. Beste Möglichkeit zum Baden ist in Bussana, Richtung San Remo. Es ist ein freier Strand und man kann dort viel Spass haben, Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten sind dort vor Ort gegeben, ein besonders empfehlenswertes Restaurant ist das La Rusticale ? in Torilla. Vom Objekt ausgehend, an der Kirche mit dem Auto nach rechts abbiegen und der Straße folgen. Im zweiten Dorf bei der Kirche parken und suuuuuuper gut genießen (ohne Speisekarte, aber preiswert und extrem empfehlenswert).

Die Ausstattung war sehr schön, in der Küche würde ich die Couch entfernen, damit 4 Personen besser am Tisch sitzen können. Im Wohnzimmer wäre ein kleiner Tisch empfehlenswert.

Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Und falls etwas fehlt, ist der Vermieter sehr kooperativ (hier konkret ein Sonnenschirm auf dem Balkon) Ein Sonnenschirm war hilfreich und wurde sofort besorgt (nicht auf unser Nachfragen hin, sondern auf Initiative des Vermieters). Wir haben den Fischerhafen von Oneglia sehr genossen. Ein Besuch von San Remo ist empfehlenswert. Ansonsten sich einfach unters Volk mischen und die ital. Atmosphäre genießen. Hilfreich wäre es, die Anreisenden auf den Supermarkt "Bennet" ca. 5-6 km von Gazzelli entfernt hinzuweisen (der auch Sonntags geöffnet hat). Er liegt übrigens genau auf der Anreiseroute und man kann kurz vor dem Ziel für den nächsten Morgen schon Kaffee, Panini etc. kaufen. Wir können uns nur wiederholen - wir waren rundum zufrieden.
