History
According to various studies, this locality was already in existence ever since ancient times. It is rumoured that there were even three hospitals in this region at that time; the remains of one of them, "San Giacomo", can be viewed even today, the second one was near the Santa Croce Church and the third one was probably the church itself.
How to reach
Pieve Ligure is 3.4 square kilometers in size and offers mainly a rocky coast for our vacationists. A gravel beach for beach holiday lovers along Via Roma, dotted with lidos and clear water, and surrounded by multicolored fishing boats is a perfect setting for snorkeling. Pieve Ligure is traversed by old "Creuza", those are old lanes winding vertically through the localities or commercial paths stretching as far as Monte Santa Croce (518 meters above sea-level).
