Surrounded by vineyards lies the small Piedmontese village of Barolo. The first Barolo wine was produced here around the year 1830 by Juliette Victurinne Colbert de Maulévrier with the assistance of Louis Oudart. The former wine cellar now houses the Enoteca Regionale and the Museo del Vino (wine museum) (Fri-Wed 10.00 – 12.30, 15.00 – 18.30, closed Jan.)
