Sport in Liguria

Due to its varied landscape and beautiful seas, Liguria has a multitude of sports to offer for both young and old alike.

On the following pages we have compiled a list of the different sports Liguria offers and have subdivided them into the areas of Water Sports, Ball Sports, Mountain Sports, Motor Sports, Extreme Sports and Miscellaneous Sports.

Water Sports - Whether you are into wind surfing, sailing, fishing or diving...you will find it all in Liguria.

Mountain Sports - Are you tough enough to hang in the Ligurian mountains? The only way to find out is to get out there and explore them. Free climbing, hiking, climbing or on a mountain bike, we leave the choice to you.

Ball Sports - Beach volleyball, tennis, golf or bowling...if you are a fan of spheres, this is the place to enjoy it.

Motor Sports - Speed in a go-kart under sunny skies or a cruise along the coast on a scooter for two, either way the feeling of power and freedom is not lost in Liguria!

Extreme Sports - Need something that really gets the adrenalin flowing? Liguria offers bungee jumping, rafting, paragliding, canyoning and much more for those who would rather not sit on the beach the whole time.

Miscellaneous - If you prefer being on horseback or tossing a boccia ball, then Liguria has a niche for you. Rather shoot at a target? Archery is a popular past time and is also offered at the Riviera dei Fiori.
